Everything you need to log a day
Three ways to add food, a budget that reflects your body, and a log that adds itself up.
A budget that fits you
Your daily points target is calculated from your gender, age, height and weight – with an allowance for nursing – instead of a one-size-fits-all number.
Scan a barcode
Point your camera at a package and pull nutrition values straight from the product database, then pick your portion.
Search the food guide
Hundreds of everyday foods with ready-made points, built in and searchable – no typing macros for a banana.
Enter values by hand
Type protein, carbs, fat and fiber and watch the points update instantly. Useful for home cooking and anything the scanner misses.
See your day at a glance
Everything you log is grouped by day with running totals, so you always know how many points you have left.
More on the way

What is Points Diary?
Points Diary is an iPhone app for tracking what you eat using a points system. It converts nutrition values into a single number per food, gives you a personal daily budget, and keeps a running log of your day.
How are points calculated?
Points come from a food's protein, carbohydrate, fat and fiber content. Enter those values – or let a barcode scan fill them in – and the app calculates the points for the portion you actually ate.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Your food log and profile are stored on your device.
How much does it cost?
Points Diary includes a 7-day free trial. After that it is $9.99 per month. You can cancel any time from your Apple ID subscription settings.
Does it work offline?
The food guide, the points calculator and your saved history all work without a connection. Scanning a barcode looks the product up online, so that feature needs internet.
Is my data private?
Your food log and profile stay on your device – they are not uploaded to us and we cannot read them. The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Crashlytics to collect anonymous usage and crash information so we can fix problems and improve the app.
Which devices are supported?
Points Diary runs on iPhone and iPad. An Android version is not available yet.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select Points Diary. Cancelling there stops any future charge.
